Hey all I've been organising a track day at Oran Park for the past few months. Anyway at one stage I had too many people attending which was great. But now the time has come for people to pay up Ive had too many pull out and its threatening the day altogether. Basically if your interested in attending please let me know. - Saturday 31st Jan 2009 - costs $250 - includes photographer with a minimum of 10 photos of your car - approx 10 to 15 minute track time each hour. If I can get enough people to cover the cost of lunch, lunch will also be included, but at this stage I cant even cover the cost of the day.
come on people !! there must be a few of you out there who want to drive on this track before it becomes another suburb !!!
there was initially, thus why I had to turn guys like CSP away because I had too many in the "I want in" pile, but now its crunch time everyones bailed on me :whistling
i say ban all users that said they where keen and now pulling the pin, its those people that can wreck the whole day for everyone
sounds like a idea, although some people might have genuine reasons as this was organized in june july? so some things can change that you mighten want too..... in saying that, i think you should come along lol.......
unfortunately bikes = no, different insurance or something. Yeh the issue with Oran Park is weekends were filling fast, so I had to book waaay back in August or September, so for alot of people yeh things have changed, and thats cool. I never expected so many to pull out. I had 6 in reserve, meaning 6 could pull out and I'd be comfortable still. but ... Ive had more then 6 pull out :whistling
Agreed but if money is the problem that's no excuse, because if you cant save up $250 in that time you shouldn't even have a car....
yeh I agree Johnsy, but we wont banter about whose got what wrong. Some have had important events like a Wedding pop up, some have lost their job due to economic crisis, one bloke wrote his car off and wont be driving anytime soon anyhoo if theres no interest thats cool, just thought I'd ask
Fair enough but if you love cars as much as we do ( spending this much time on a forum) you would find a way... i would have canned the wedding, found a new job and got insurance to replace my wrote off car.....
look guys it doesnt matter okay, Im working on a few ways to cover it lets leave it there before this becomes an argument. I just thought if there was anyone interested now its only 2 weeks away then great. As it is the answers been no. Im stretched financially as well because of this one day, doesnt matter tho, the day will go on, so please, no fighting amongst us The idea of the day is to have fun, which we wont do if we're blewing over nothing on the forum in the lead up. People have pulled out, new people have taken their spot in some cases. People still owe me full money, some people have paid deposits but I cant contact for the rest. Its all over the place and Im running out of time. i dont need arguments adding to the stress levels that is this track day
How many more people you need ? TTRMC , Its a soarer yes ? what model engine is it / what turbos do you need ?
its the 1jz, and yes soarer, turbos are ct12a. Found a guy that had two for sale but my mechanic isn't back till end of Jan and I am snowed in with work. Just a crappy situation but unavoidable.... Torquative, as I paid in full if I bring someone else on the day to take my place is that cool? Haven't found anyone interested yet but never know
No argument matt... i was just answering your questions as if they were directed to me.... I would have bought a V8 instead like i did so i wouldn't need turbo's... But if i did i would have got some new ones........:whistling
