    How is your car running?

The light is intended to indicate a problem with the engine management system.

Is your car running worse than normal? If so, you definitely need it looked at.

If your car appears to be running normal, turn it off, and restart. If the light still comes on, i would seriously look into it.

If it stays out, just keep a look out on it.

I had an old key, and sometimes it did not disengage the immobilser. I would try to start the car, but it would not. I would see the flashing red light of the immobiliser, and push the unlock button while the key was still in the ignition and on. This always caused the orange warning light to come on.

It always went away when I turned the engine off and restarted. I learned to make sure the immobiliser light was out before putting the key in the ignition.

Problem doesn't happen now I have a new key.

    Hope this helps.

Problem can also indicate a auto trans failure.

Mine came on moments before i had to pay for a new f**ken auto for my statesman......

definatly get it looked into before you have to shell out big dollars.
