a vs dash won't fit unless you do the door panels as well cos the heater vent holes that feed through it won't line up or work. it's doable but not quite as easy as that, yuo have to get a new wiring loom and some other gear. this thread and couple of others should give you an idea of what it's all about http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=54191 the search tool is your friend, VT i don't know about.
