OTR MAF tune vs OTR no tune

VZ 6.0L gen 4 L76 stock

All I want to do is put a OTR CAI with the MAF option still connected and then later on get a tune OR should I get the tune done right away because the car might run like crap?


The OTR I'm getting with MAF fitting Holden VT VX VY VZ VE LS1 LS2 LS3 OTR Over The Radiator Mafless Cold Air Intake

Its always recommended to get a tune right away when installing an OTR. The extra air flow into your engine can cause the car to throw a code without a tune, but that all depends on the car and OTR used. The OTR you have listed may throw a code and it may not, who knows, its just luck of the draw. But in short, your car won't run like crap, just try and get it tuned sooner rather than later.

Good spotting, I didn't even notice that. I'll just rephrase what I said, if you put a mafless type OTR on your car without tuning it WILL throw a code lol.

Dunno if you're joking but if you take off the MAF then yes it will throw a code, and need a MAFless tune.
