    hi all

I have a 2002 VXII v6 auto with 350000km's. I have had a problem recently with the car idle speed fluctuating between 500rpm and 800rpm and occaisionaly when you brake at high speed the engine will stall and have to pull over and start it again, and sometimes have to punch the accelerator to start the engine whether cold or hot. I have replaced leads, plugs, fuel filter, air filter (they were due anyway), not much change at this point, replaced TPS as had a code 21 come up with an error light one day, this solved the idle problem and now idles smoothly at 700 but still stalled when driving and had to punch the accelerator to start the car. Put a can of intake cleaner through and scrubbed the inside of the throttle body as far as i could get to get all the carbon off. has kind of fixed the problem now when it would normally stalls, it nearlly stalls just idling rough at bout 200rpm and you have to pull over and turn the engine off and restart it again and it also starts better the engine fires almost stalls and then goes to idle. any ideas on what else could be bad or need cleaning or should i pull the throttle body off and give it a good clean throughout???

any help will be greatly appreciated
    thankhyou

i had the same problem with a holden vn v6 I would recommend removing and cleaning the throttle body with carby cleaner and replace the iac valve with a brand new one also make sure the throttle body stop screw hasn't been tampered with
