I actually like your WP theory. I make sure all the water pumps I buy these days have cast impellers, the pressed steel jobbies are crap.

From my experience I am thinking that the only decent pumps on the market now are Gen pumps which won't be around long enough, the way Holden keeps low stock of Gen spares.
