Hey guys
I have recently noticed that my car was over heating, going above half. The oil, water and coolant were all fine. Yesterday it got so high(lucky car) that I obviously pulled over. Looked under the bonnet to see one of the tubes to the engine had split and coolant had squirted a bit.
Called out a mechanic who after testing told me I needed a new engine He works for a reputable company and must admit I didn't understand all his lingo.
Just wondering if you guys think this is legitimate and a true analysis. Was quoted $5000 to get it fixed.
Thanks in advance for any help
Oh and no warning lights came on.
