Vf commodore Ute black edition
No sure if I’ve selected the right category but my vf sv6 black edition it’s keeps overheating mainly on idle. But done it today while driving. I took it to get looked at and the mechanic checked thermos and it wasn’t them and it wasn’t the thermostat either. Anyone else relate to this or has any ideas would be much appreciated.

Did he check the sensor or use a obd scanner to check other sensors to see if it is actually overheating?

Good point! This why I like my ELM Street program because if you have a issue like the OP has you can check it on your or in my case in a the Computer via the obd2 and see if it has a defective sensor or not.
