oxy sensor same??? v6 to v8

    hi all
    i just done a code test on my 97 5litre vt auto it it come back with code 63. lh oxygen sensor.
    i have a set of less than 6 mnth old oxy senors in my 97 vs ecotec that has just been ritten off (old lady cut me of, not my fault) anyway i get a v8 now!!!
    does anyone no if they are the same part???
    the ecotec ones have 4 wire with the preheater or something, i just know they are bloody dear over here in nz.

    I think you can just by-pass the pre heaters. They should work the same, after all they all measure the oxygen. Providing they fit, I think it will work.

    yea they were something like 90 bucks each i think, cant remember exectly i just remember they were expensive.
    i guess ill have to give them a try to see if they fit, so the 5 litre dosent have those preheaters?
