Update:

Will be stripping the Calais interior back tonight so we can get to the main loom.
We have an electrician coming later in the week to remove the extra wires from the main loom in the Calais and installing them into the wagon. Seems to be the best option as there are only a few wires missing from the base model.
The reverse sensors will also be deleted in this build as the donor only came with two bumper brackets. We have 4 new sensors but only two brackets and can not source the other two.
The wagon fuel pump loom will be cut in-cab and re-joined to the Calais loom so we don't have to run it back through the chassis rail.
The hsv intermittent wiper stalk has arrived to we will have both intermittent wipers and the rear wiper working.

The guards have arrived and the flutes, tail lights and bonnet are scheduled to arrive Monday

Its having all new suspension and brakes. Super lows so as low as my Calais.

Update:

The quickest way looks like cutting and re-joining each wire for the main loom.
Theres a lot of extra wires from base model to Calais and completely different connections. Even the ABS module is different!

Work has progressed slowly

Wheel arches, wheel well and under-body complete and masked up.

Even the wife is getting in and helping tint her own windows!

Down to the nitty gritty bits now.

Handles, bumpers rubbed back and holes drilled for reverse sensors

And some more goodies arrived yesterday

Sorry if i missed it but what green is that? Looks a bit like the mazda 2 green?

Did you think about using the calais front bar or do you like the ss/sv6 bar better?

The green is based from VF hothouse green but black has been removed and white pearl added instead.
The donor car had no front end when we bought it so sticking to the vz ss kit

Update

Plastics are being primed with first coat.
Doors are ready for primer.
And the new brake disks have arrived.

Aiming to have it all primed and possibly hit with a fresh coat of green over the weekend providing the weather stays warm.
