hey im a P plater and i see both fully licensed drivers and p platers drive crap, serriously it doesnt matter if you are a p plater or not, it all depends on the person driving the car if he is good or not.
I serriously cant stand ****ty drivers, when i see a non L/P platter drive crap i get ****ed off but when i see a P/L platter do something stupid i just laugh (depends on what it is).

Because of crappy P platters other good P platters are treated as those **** ones.

I see many non P platters do stupid **** so i could start bashing and say Non P platters are **** drivers.

    Get my point everyone??

btw 90% of bad drivers i see are women.
One example of what i saw infront of me.
A woman in her 30's entered a 90km/h highway at 62km/h, i still remember it really well. It was during the night and there was only 1 car on the highway and he got slowed down because that stupud driver started accelerating once she was on the highway. I went straight in to the right lane thru the full thick lane because it was annoying/****ing me off.

And it's attitudes like this that it's no wonder these laws are bought in. 90% of P-platers out there don't have the experience to know what to do when a vehicle starts to go out of control. I'm not saying that you are in this percentage but a lot don't.

I've seen it happen a few years back, p-plater in a VU SS ute, thought he could cut out from a side street infront of a truck, lost it and the truck went straight through him at about 80km/h. How the driver survived we don't know.

People with full license do this as well, but have a lot more experience to control the situation.

    VR V6 Manual
i am a p plater just got my greens. and a lot of the rules are fair enough but the v8 restrictions needs to be fixed coz my mate got pulled over for drivein a vk 253 and lost his licence. my v6 vr would kill that thing and the new sv6's have more power than the vs ss and hsv's. also my mate has a peripheral port 13b in a series 2 rx7 and that thing has so much balls its unbelieveable but no ****ing way should he be aloud to drive that on his reds. especially if my other mate cant even drive a 253.
i think the 80 k/mh an hour limit was just a stupid idea especially when merging onto freeway, ppl expect when u pull out to merge that you be doing a decent speed and ive seen a lot of swerving when people realised its a l plater doing 80 pulling on.
also on the paddock bashing and burnout/drifting. ive done a bit of silly **** in my vr in like business parks and open roads and it helps just the other day my car kicked out for no reason when i went straight through a round about coz the road dipped downhill and as soon as it happened i corrected it just from experience. i also drive a lot safer than most police they drive up fast in residential areas in the wet and everything for no reason. then target me coz i have p plates. i got pulled over twice on the main street of gosford by 2 different cop cars and they both checked over my car within a matter of 10 minutes apart.

    **** the police

being a NSW P green plater its pretty tough,
i can drive at 100km/hr on the highway, pretty much get there on time of all the people that do 110km (although about 90% of the population i've seen on their full licence NEVER do 110 on the highway, more 120-130 but IM the bad driver?
experience does not let you speed, and its **** that if im rolling down a hill with the cruise set if i hit 105 or more i can loose my licence!

i have an eb falcon xr8 sitting at home in the shed (no flaming for ford), dad bought it for me about a month before the laws come in, so i got told that my car, my first car, i cant drive.
its a joke, driving a vx commodore that probably goes faster than it is fine because its a v6, but my older school v8 is banned?
power to weight rules should be introduced, and as for the states where p platers can drive whatever the hell they like is silly too, someone with no driving experience driving whatever they like.... not good.

the idea of restrictions i like, and im someone suffering them, but they need to be modified and introduced nationwide so no one gets annoyed when someone has a car from vic that someone in nsw cant even think about driving without flashing blue and red lights.

hey im a green p plater in melbourne and i say this is a load of bullshit =P
nothing worse than being stuck behind an old grandma who just sits 20kms below the speed limit, holding up traffic and not moving through intersections and round abouts when they should be.
before someone stated that '90% of P-platers out there don't have the experience to know what to do when a vehicle starts to go out of control' but im pretty sure alot of fully liscenced drivers wouldn't have a clue either. if anything a younger driver would have much more reflexes making them more safe.
regardless, branding ALL p platers good/bad drivers is too much of an objective view. The increased hardness of the probationary test as well as the 120 hours learning required is a positive move to make sure only safe and able drivers are on the road.
but maybe refresher test every 10 years couldnt do much harm, to see if people have maintained this level of skill, so ALL drivers can be targeted for safety, not just p platers.

So incredibly true. I would love to see that in FNQ. We have a million and one narrow, windy, single lane roads with numerous "blind" turns. I can just see the statistics shooting up for "P plater involved in accident". They'll all be getting rear-ended.

Not to mention the huge increase in road rage incidents. It's bad enough having to wait for an old grandpa/ma driver crawling along 20km/h under the limit without adding a huge number of p platers to the mix.

i think the rules are strict enough as they are, they stop alot of us from being stupid, unfortunately there are even stupider ppl still geting around, but they all get done pretty good with the rules the way they are
