- VY II Commodore exec 3.8 Auto
Good morning all,
My VY II Exec v6 auto seems to have developed a habit of killing ICMs ( 3 in as many months now ) I have a pretty comprehensive service manual with full circuit diagrams and fault code lists, and have gone through the diagnostic procedures, and can't seem to get the required 9.5 volts at terminal B9 of the PCM plug even though I have set up the test as per the manual. The most I get, even with a shiny new ICM plugged in is 4.3 - 4.7 volts.
This morning, when it died while I was driving on the freeway, it also served me up a P1361 code. I was travelling at 100 km/h at the time and the engine just died with no prior warning at all.
I would really like to get to the bottom of this, as I don't particularly want to keep throwing a new ICM at it every time.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
