Throw the shitty Y-merge into the bin and build a decent equal length centre section. Your engine will love you for it

Only issue could be if it's a column shift.

Unless it's a benchy with side handbrake ditch that y pipe junk

It's either bent/damaged or just needs to be loosened & repositioned/clearanced.

I bought a set for my series 2. Turned out to have series 3 block and box(VT)
Moved things around with no luck.
Maybe check you have the right set.

Mine fit fine with full bellhousing in my vs. Just fitted last week. Pacemaker 5000 with y piece. They’re VERY tight though. Not much clearance at all. Where did you run into trouble?

VT V6 and VS V6 Pacies are not interchangeable. But i would have thought the VT ones would be quite a bit different that the collectors wouldn't even fit in the bay properly on a VS.

We got them on but would knock on housing occasionally when turning. Ended up bending to give more clearance. Didn’t realise it had series 3 gear until started to rebuild.
Pacemaker make an extractor for a VS series 3 ute that had running gear as the vt series 1- 5 litre.
They’re gone now and have DPE which caused more problems. Had to put a cut out in bell housing and cut a section out of deep pan. Atleast it’s straighter I suppose...
