Has anybody actually fitted theses themselves specificity to the L76/L98? I have done a search but couldn't find this specific info...

Looking to fit pacemaker tri-y's onto the L76, some people say the engine requires lifting for the RHS manifold, the steering box needs to be moved/removed..this/that. Is it a straight forward job what actually needs to be done (besides from the obvious)? LHS looks straight forward un-bolt/bolt on, any other troubles?

Cheers

The engine does not have to be lifted. The rack and steering coupling needs to be undone and the rack moved as far right as it can go to get the RHS in, the LHS just about fits itself it's that easy.

I fitted some 4 into 1's. The only way I could get them on was from underneath. A hoist would make it a breeze otherwise get it as high as you stands will go. And watch your coolant temp sensor. I also had a few spark plug casualties.

Naaf summed it up perfectly. I would imagine the two piece ones for the drives side would be aloof easier to fit

I use HM when fitting tri Y's, they are two piece and don't require the rack to be touched at all. Takes about an hour all up to fit them.

Thanks for the replies.

I was just going to put bolt on pacey cats as well, does anyone know if extension looms for the 02 sensors are required like they are for the headers? And would the new cats be able to bolt on to the existing frame/hanger? or can they just be left hanging there.

Have you bought any of this yet?

I can do Hurricane 4-1's with 200 cell high flow cats including the O2 sensor extensions for $1395 shipped. Or the HM stainless for $100 more.
