when paddle shift is fitted as a dealer option, is the kit fitted to the existing steering wheel or is a different wheel fitted?

My understanding is that the steering wheel needs to be swapped to the flat-bottom one

It's totally replaced with steering wheel that comes standard on the Auto SS-V.

If you don't mind me asking what price did the dealer quote you to supply and fit the new whee with the paddles ?.

One thing to remember is that if you have ordered the Black Edition, the new steering wheel will likely have different colored stitching to the rest of the interior

(Black Edition & Storm come with red stitching and I believe that the flat bottom wheels have white)
