hey everyone

Im just curious how much it would cost for a ve gts to get a respray from red to black? aparently hsv can do it for you for a cost? ive also been told changing the colour of ur car can be very expensive
so watcha guys think

Yes very expensive and I've been told it can reduce the value of the car, but not 100% sure on the last point.

If its a factory colour your after than it would probably be better to sell your car and buy another.

I would suggest making your mind up about the colour BEFORE buying an 80k + car...just a thought...

+1. why would you spend 80k on a car that you dont like the colour.
keep in mind respraying a car isnt simple, you also have to spray the engine bay (engine has to come out) all the insides of the door, insides of the boot etc.
just buy a black one, its not like there isnt any around.

nah im looking around for my step dad an e series gts 6.2l my09 or 08 with lows ks that is black and manual and is in w.a........there was one but sold before he got to shacks in freo, theres some red ones but he wants black, but there so hard to find in w.a theres one in sydney but he has the whole 'if I cant test drive it before he buys it aint gonna happen' so it has to be in w.a you guys know of anyone whos selling one?

you could do 50 flights interstate to test-drive a car, and you'd still be well ahead of what it will cost you for a proper respray

IMO a black car with "red" body tags on it will devalue it - if you try sell it people will assume it's been crashed etc.

hed rather take the landcruiser and drive up tbh, he will drive up there only if hes sure that his definantly going to buy the car

I'd never be getting a full respray for a factory colour. Some fancy, pearlescent-harlequin-whatever colour for a show car - sure... but not a factory colour.
