Okay,
What would be the best product to use to paint inside my boot?
at the moment I have holes, a rust spot and old carpet stuck to the boot floor.
-Driving down a dirtroad makes my car fill with dust

With my old car my dad used a spraygun to paint the walls and then used some paint to paint the floor.... It was a thicker paint that covered holes and helped keep the noise down? :|

the thick stuff that was 'brushed on'' would have been brush on sound deadener.

Best way to do it would be to scotch brite the whole floor well, paint it in clear over base, or just a solid 2k of the same sort of colour, then sound deaden etc.

stone guard will be your best buddy. 2 tins of that crap, through the gun and about 5 hours for it to cure. deadens sound, prevents rust and sticks like baby **** to a blanket.

are you talkin about this stuff ? or
Im not to keen on using the Spray Gun or w/e its called

Ah sweet thanks heaps! :D Do I need a air compressor for the gun?
How many cans would I need to the whole boot?

air compressor yes. one liter will do the whole boot. but 2 will do it better. that way you can really layer it into all the seams and gaps, and hit places like the underside of your parcel shelf and right up under the rear windows etc.

prepping is relatively easy too. its just a matter of wire brushing off all the flakey rust and dirt and crap, (spray a bit of rust converter in bad areas and give it a while to dry), vacuum up all the loose crap then spray for your life. some ppl say you need to prime the surface, but i didnt on the wheel arches on the impala and its tough as nails. i had to get a section of the stone guard off one of the inners to fix a small rust patch and it was prick of a job.

if you havnt got access to a compressor, then it'd probably be better (cost-wise) to just buy a tin and brush it on. i dont think those aerosol cans go very far for the price.
