I've been reading alot about respraying my car and i've heard about alot of people respraying their engine bays without taking out the engine (3.8L).

Has anyone done/seen this before?

what do you remove/leave in place?

I'm looking at a respray at the end of the year and dont really have the facilities to remove my engine.

cheers

To be honest i have no real idea but i have seen progress photos of it done to a 5L in a ute.

Youe pretty much have to remove everything on the sides of the engine bay and only leave the actually engine there wrapped over with sheets. everyhting on the firewall can stay...

Umm yep done that, everything ! nothing !

Removing the engine if you don't intend to pull it apart should not be that hard, most stays on it, unplug the obvious and lift, tranny and all.
