Hey peeps, i was reading in budget mag (some mag when i was on the can) and found tutorial on paintin the interior. which inspired me to do that with my VS commy.

i took off the face plate surrounding the gear stick..
washed it, sanded it, sanded it, sanded it more, metho to get rid of excess dirt and put 5 odd coats of primer filler, 2 coats of undercoat, 1 coat of base paint..
no the prob is, i put on the second coat and made splodges on one little area which drove me absolutely bonkers. is it possible to sand the base paint by any chance? with really fine stuff a.k.a P1500 grit?

no need to use an actucl primer filler on plastics just 2 coats on plastic primer that you can get in cans..

basecoat can be sanded as long as its really dry, if its still wrt it can tear and youlll have a **** time trying to feather out basecoat edges..

1200 wet is fine to use.
