hi guys, i have recently painted my rear garnish on my vt same colour as car, i also ripped the spoiler off bogged up the holes and repainted the boot... i used a primer then two coats colour and two clear top coats. however problem being the finished job looks rather rough does it need to be buffed or polished???? any thoughts would be great.

What sort of prep work did you do? Did you paint the whole bootlid?
What sort of spray gear did you use? what type of paint?

i sanded the whole boot back used bog to fill up holes, used a grey primer. i used pressure cans for it all which they made up at autobarn for me. the paint is the same as the car, b171 raven blue mica. i think it was gloss enamel? its just not as shiny snd smooth as the rest of the paint.

You might get a better result if you colour sand the boot back before applying your clear. This will take surface imperfections off, then a light sand and buff once the clear is on.....
