    Has anyone ever painted their badges? i've thought about painting mine black chrome (for front, rear and sides) , but i have no idea what type of paint to use.

    Nah dude, don't paint them yourself, they will look crap. How do you mean paint them black chrome though? Paint the whole badge? Paint the outer edges?

    I'm talking paint the whole of the badges in shadow chrome - like you said definitely not a DIY job

    Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to see them too well with them that dark. They would look funny, but if you wanted them done, you might be best finding someone who does that find of thing professionally. Not sure exactly who would do that kind of thing, but i assure you someone on here will! :thumbsup:

    As long as they are prepped fine, the paint will stick.


    If you doubt your abilities, take them to a powder coater.

    Shadow chrome paint though? I thought shadow chrome had to be.......well.......chromed...... I thought there was some special process to get the shadow chrome effect...??

    Im actually painting some rotors and a spare wheel in shadow chrome for a mate. Ill let you know how it goes. bloody wierd **** to apply ill tell you that

    Will do. :) I've painted his calipers aswell. He's got a vx clubsport. Ill post somt pictures of them aswell, they cam out SOOOOO nice :thumbsup:
