hello world,

i got a black ve sv6...the stock alloys aren't bad...so thinking about painting them black too for now instead of upgrading them.

has anyone done this yet? how much should it cost? and what do you think in general?

so far wheelworx in adelaide quote 700$ for 4 rims + refitting in black or matte black. they do a good job though.

damn vessme that looks badass!!! my sv6 is black so hopefully itll look super stealthy...with the ssv lights. good work. and yeah powder coating seems like a cheaper option with pretty much same results unless someone wants to tell me otherwise.

by the way vessme...did you remove your rims from the tyre, paint it, then put the same tyres back on? if so, did it affect the wheel alignment or anything?

You can't get as good a finish with powder coating as you can with painting.

I got mine done matte black with a satin clear coat from a local paint shop for $150 a rim. Total = $750.
