hey gonna start another debate about pod or panel filters?
i currently have a k&n pod filter in my vt commodore its a 6 with a catback exhaust..the pod sounds good and gives the car a nice note but im just not happy with this "illegal" thing sitting in my engine bay plus its **** to drive during the day...is it work buying a ss induction cai kit?
or putting my factory air intake on with an aftermarket filter?

Pods suck full stop.
SS inductions will also do sweet fug all.
Best intake is stock basically :p. Just piss off the flexy pipe for some alloy or 85mm silicon.

I gather your Pod is just sitting in your engine bay sucking up hot air? I Think this debate will go on forever like Holden Vs Ford lol. So many threads already about this. If your pod isn't enclosed, then your wasting your time.

Laminar Air flow

Mass Air Flow meter

First person to us the argument "Why would so many people use them then?".
Because some clown told them they're cool.

The ONLY time they're usefull is when there is no room in the engine bay for an airbox of some discription.

Also, i'll add. When you see turbo charged cars with the MAF after the turbo. It makes little to no difference what filter you use.

On NA cars, its all about clean (Laminar) flow over the MAF. Otherwise you end up with a **** reading and an equally **** calculation by the PCM.

it wont matter what filter you use a tube can only let so much air through. a pod that isnt enclosed is sucking hot air and is a defect. the noise it makes attracts cops. get cold air in and it will improve but i dont think you will notice much
