i have subs in my boot that are causing the parcel shelf to bounce up and vibrate on the rear window, which is really damn annoying. i had extra carpet folded up between the window and the shelf but that looked really ugly. anyone have ideas on to solve the problem?

I've tried stuffing foam up under the shelf from the boot but that doesn't work either.

Perhaps a visit to Clark Rubber to get a rubber strip to sit between the shelf and the rear window. Hmmm I think I might just give that a go.

Sound deadener around the parcel shelf (top and bottom) before re-covering it with carpet or vinyl?

also what are people using to hold their subs down? i'm just thinking of getting some brackets and bolting them into the spare tyre cover to hold the sub down.

speaking of sub boxes, anyone ever usesd a fibreglass moulded box? Do they produce a decent sound like MDF/Wood?

what worked for me was folding down 2 pillowcases into the crack. Got a charcoal pillow case and it worked a charm.... no more rattle.

Its the worst noise ever though..

Sound deadener is always the best but I am pretty sure it can be pricey.... $3 pillowcases work
