park brake light on

    hey guys i just have a question for you.

    the other day driving along and my mate decided to pull the handbrake up in my vr. and the park brake light come on and it hasnt gone away since. im starting to think its the switch underneath stuffing up. but im not sure could it be something else guys?

    Is the lever all the way down? Either that or it's the switch, it may be loose and not contacting when the lever is down.

    It's not uncommon for some small piece of junk like a nut/bolt/5 cent piece to fall down there and prevent the lever returning.

    i put my hand down there
    felt the switch.. pushed it in and out a few times and then turned the ignition and the switch is working cheers for the tips boys.

    lol. well my mechanic has **** mine coz its ant the switch its the wires!!! mine never goes away. when i 1st bought the car it never came on.!! lol
