Does it run from the top of the water pump and into the manifold? If yes replace the adaptor with a brass unit. The brass ones have viton seals and will last the remaining life of the engine. The plastic ones break after a while and end up leaking.

Do you have Repco in NZ? In Australia they are the cheaper than eBay for the brass bypass hose adaptor as it is named.

Repco should have them in stock. At least they do in Launceston Tasmania.

Repco have about 1/4 of the stock they sell on the website, the rest you need to call or go in store. Think I paid $27 at Repco.

I cant remember taken my water pump off to do the gaskets just the Alternator and idle tensioner and I think the DFI just so I could have more space.

Ahhh I have been misinformed. I thought VS had them, just on the front only, thus the VS on had them. I did try to clarify if the OP had one? But guess he had no idea what i was talking about and same with the OP and I. I should have asked for a pic.
