Hello guys n girls ;)

As above I have been doing the dreaded manifold gaskets because of oil in the coolant and when I removed the manifold and turned it over to start cleaning this baffle fell out from where the pcv valve sits and I didn't get to see which way it goes in..

The hole to the top. Its upside down as it sits on the table, the neck goes in the hole.

Ah thank you very much and now I'll have peace of mind knowing is going to be in the right way..

Also the o-ring that goes on to the pcv valve was split when I removed it!!

Did you put high temp RTV silicon in each corner of the valley before putting the Top back on.

Yes I did I think it's high temp, it's Permatex Blue RTV silicon gasket maker.

Yeah blue is 260deg, red 343deg, should be ok.
I hope it is I'm not going to do it again :)

But work now has stopped as I opened the plenum gasket kit and it's got the wrong one in it..
I need the top gasket in the pic.
No one has 1 locally either of course.

I got the correct gasket today and new injector o-rings and it's all back together, air bled from cooling system and will test drive tomorrow :)

Hello again I did a test drive today and all looks and feels good except I had a slight surge like feeling when going up hills, I thought changing the gaskets and cleaning throttle body etc this would now be gone but it has not improved that at all..

Sounds like the spark is breaking down under load, might be plugs, leads or coils. Is it engine or Transmission kind of surge.
