Anyone know if Pedder red rear shocks are any good. Wagon has a decent looking set of Pedder gas shocks. I was hoping they might be alright on the ute as mine have signs of leaking. The pedders look in good cond although the lower bushes would need replacing.

Yeah I used 2 sets in the back of my VS yonks ago. They were nice and firm to start with, and slowly got softer until they started to die after about 4 years.
If you have them there pull them out and have a feel. If they rise by themselves and feel firm they're good to go. See if they're firmer than what's in the ute.

They have plenty of gas pressure but if they are cheap junk i won't go to the effort of fitting them and buying new bushes. My shocks are still working ok but are old.

Pedders are good,
But it all depends upon the application your going to install them, or to how your going to use them.

Have Pedders Comfort (shorter shocks) in back of ute...feel same as factory junk that came out of it except lowered springs don't fall out putting it on jack stands lol

I have found Pedders shocks a little stiffer than your normal Monroes etc etc.....So for your intended usage, I'd be fitting them, as you seem to have a bit of weight on the back of your ute

Cool I will give them a go. Any idea where I can buy bushes for them apart from Pedders?

Bushes would be same as any shock for your model I'm guessing?
