Hey, I have been looking at these rims for a while now, and I was wondering people's thoughts on the quality of the package they come in. products I have shown one of my mums friends, who is a mechanic, and he reckons that the tyres you would get with those rims will be ****ty ones.. Is this the case? Has anyone else dealt with TempeTyres, and would therefore know what sort of quality stuff they provide in their packages? Any info or opinions are greatly appreciated . Denno
mate tyre quality varies because of brand not so much the place u get them but i wouldnt expect to see the best tyres in a package might even be not bad tyres does it say the brand on the site
Doesn't say brand, the only mention of brand is where it says "brand new low profile tyres". And I know it doesn't matter on the place, I was asking to find out which brand they do put on them in the package, I guess I could ring up, but it's boxing day at the place wouldn't be open now..
Oh and also, I'm guessing that if I pay more for the package they'll put on the tyres that I choose? which leads me to the next question, what are a good quality brand of tyre? Thanks
My mate got a package in 22's for his hilux and the tyres it came with are pretty good. 245 x 30 series. (cant remember what brand now tho).
Ive bought from Tempe, got my last set of genuine VY GTS's from there, good deals just ask what tyres and see what others they can offer
thing with advice is... you need to explain why... its pointless saying "dont do it" with out..."becuase... x,y,z" useless post mate, aZk.
What was your problem?? My mate swears by them, never had a problem there, had his rim crack, took it back and it was replaced under warrenty, not a problem at all, he wouldn't shop anywhere else now.
Im in VIC and there shipping was great value too, like $80 to send 4 wheels and tyres to my door, thats cheap as chips
the tyres will most likely be nankangs that come in the package... thats wot i got and a few mates also when they bought rims from there.. ive always found them to be the cheapest and have the biggest selection..
Most tyre places I got quotes from would give me better tyres for a very good price ($100-250 more) when I was looking for my rims, but that is in a country town
ive found there service poor if your just looking, but soon as you wave some cash or say you want something done now, they are you best friend, i know of a few people that have bought packages from them and have been nothing but impressed, they had my girlfriends lancer lowered and new 18's fitted within half and hour of us getting there, and they where really busy, like could not get a park on the property. they had about 3 people fitting and balancing the tyres and a guy at each corner doin the suspension. oh and the tyres where kumho's
Ok cool guys. Thanks for the replies. I reckon I'll give them a call on Monday, find out definitively what they put on the rims with that exact package. I just wanted some peace of mind about the quality of their stuff, and I now have it . Cheers
