The reason you get more power from e85 is that it is much colder to begin with and i know that you can advice the timing alot more
But you burn more fuel then 98
Not sure what else maybe steve can explain a bit better

So maybe like a 220-230 atw?
As well as low down gains
It depends on the dyno, but you'd be looking at between 10-20rwkw gains

Yes I have access to E85 thought 98octane would provide more power learn something new every day no I don't have any mods currently completely stock
The reason for the greater gains with E85

  • Is that it's far less prone to knock then normal premium unleaded
  • Has a higher latent heat of vaporisation. What this basically means is that when E85 changes phase from a liquid to a vapour, it has the ability of removing more heat per given the same weight of petrol

One of the downsides though is that you end up using more E85 than you would petrol per given kilometre you drive, has E85 has a lower calorific value (energy content) than petrol

Given your car is standard some mods to consider are shown below

Hope this helps

Hard to say, but anticipate around the 220rwkw mark give or take. This is only an estimate though based on figures from the LLT engine and not the LFX

No idea, sorry

Hey steve do u know what sort of gains if make on e85 over 98 fuel?
Curretntly running 98 with a orrsom otr and xoforce catback tuned by castle hill performance making 209.4rwkw
Just wondering how much more i would make on e85

My tune is only getting me around 180 killer wasps at the wheels and I have what you've got plus extractors and HiFlow cats.

Don't stress about dyno's, doesn't mean you're car is any slower/quicker then his. People usually say there is a 10%~ difference with dynos, I think a 20%~ difference is more accurate.

Either way, AFR's and such are what dynos are really about, not calculated Kw's

Coupled with the fact that no two cars are the same, along with other unclear variables which have an impact on results.
