I'd suggest a 355 crate combo from Pavtek with warranty and guaranteed HP for around $7000.....I believe they are reputable and changeover motor might be cheaper again.

an aftermarket manifold on a stock bottom end is likely to have a negative effect on performance
nothing wrong with the factory manifold if you only have a stock to mild combo.
