    While reading on the internet i was looking at the vc htd commodore race spec on the standards what they could use and could not use on race day found some old photos and looked at the vk big banger motor could not see much but had the same twin Webber set up , well I search for old posts what was on here back in 2007 someone done up a white replica of the big banger group c vk and had all them specs plus what rims and everything they used I'll right down the old post later and put it on here

    Facing of the cyclinder head was permitted the compression ratio must not exceed 10.5.1 ratio exhaust system and camshart were free components roller cam were not permitted head had to be standard inlet manifolds standard , carby anything could be fitted but htd come up with the Webber with the standard adopter plate but is unknown how it was fitted

    Have got more details on internal bits and pieces they used but nothing to flash hardened push rods and standard crank used

    You need to get hold of Ian Tate or somehow get Larry to open up. Both are still around. From memory it had Carillo rods, forged flat top pistons (manufacturer varied) their own ported heads/intake, twin 48mm IDF webber carbs. NFI on cam

    Piston assemblies were free recognition document , valve head diameter and seat angle had to be standard component crankshafts were free except that of the stroke phasing and travel must be the same on the orignal crankshaft

    Only way is to go to the museum and take notes, no one will ever know the blue prints that's what makes it one of a kind.

    lacksballs a active member on here and his mates and their knowledge I would like to call on them I'll sit back and keep out of this now and read and relax looking at my project thanks to all liked reading everything everyone had to say thanks heaps again

    They ran a stock intake manifold, except I believe they cut the buggers in half to modify/port it and then welded it together again and made it look stock.
