Petrol Pump Help Asap please

Are you meant to hear the petrol pump running when car is going it seems to be alittle on the loud side and I seem to be using abit more petrol then normal, what would be causing it if it's not meant to be making hearable nosie stuffed fuel pump

VN pumps are noisy and excessive noise means they are on way out. They can go for a while like that though .
