petrol smell

vl & vr commodore
on these bloody cold mornings , ive noticed every time i have my demisters on the way to work, on heat , ive noticed a strong petrol fume smell coming through the car & also my heaters havent really been heating up as well. Can anyone shed some light on what it is & how to fix?? cheers

the heat from the heaters comes from the heat of the engine on older cars and the petrol smell could be a leaking fuel rail?

Those vents suck in air from the engine bay anyway, so that is the source of the smell either way

check your charcoal canister it the black plaskit canister located between battery and radiator with 1 hose coming from the petrol tank and 2 going to the throttle body. make sure hoses are connected and not split
