Phillip Island

Well I have finally done it. I must apologise to a couple of people for not letting them know but I went to Phillip Island last weekend and raced my VN.
Saturdays first qualifying went ok except for a minor hiccup with the car overheating due to the warm weather down there, but that was soon fixed and back out for the second qualifying session. Car felt really good and fast. Times were of no consequence as it was a running in session for the car and new motor.
Sunday was race day and the first was a 5 lap race. I qualified in last position and finished last with no problems arising.
Next was an 11 lap race and the car was running even better now that it had been run in a bit more. The worst thing was that I was doing 220kmph down the main strait and a black SAAB went past me like I was standing still. Heaven only knows how fast he was going.
So now I can relax til next year and am looking at another race at Sandown in April '05.

So you finally made it past the first corner aye?? I guess this is where you've been hiding. Congrats anyway, wish I could've been there to see it go...

PS with no rain, I take it the cardbox is still doing well?

Yeah I did more than make it past the first corner. I didn't tell anyone coz last time it became a waste of a weekend so I didn't want to disappoint anyone.
Oh and yes the cardboard box still lives.
