The number on the sign is the highest you can do in that zone. It is not the speed you are required to ride at! So if oyu are over you are over!

As unmarkedd cars, they will use what ever they need to to. Theres been a nice back unmarked Forester XT or two out there two.

As for unmakred Camrys yeh they have used them, but City of Melbourne has unmarked Cmary with 'Hidden" AMber LED's!

is that a copy and paste from the holden website??? lol, they do get around in some 'out of the ordinary' machines these days, if you were a cop i spose you would do the same... keeps the fear of god in all the young hoons out there.... of which i'm one(not really) i drive to safe standards.... i believe there is a time and place for speeding - like when conditions are ideal, you're not endangering life & you're on private property.

heres an interesting one - was driving up from melb. 4 weeks ago - around coonabarabran - was following this truck which was doing between 140-150kph. when i say following i don't mean that i drove that speed(!), the Calais was full of gear etc, but i swear to god this truck was doin' 140 odd. how those things stay upright around corners at those speeds i do not know...

edit - pictures coming out of the woodwork

again MIGHT be a cop car. then again, it might not be.

moral of the story.
the cars the poice are using for unmarked vehicles are so common that a thread listing them all is pretty pointless.

hahaha good point mate.

the dead givaways on unmarked patrol cars are a couple of extra aerials, little light boxes on the dash or behind the rv mirrow, light boxes on the rear shelf.
just dont break the law and itll be ok!

not many unmarked cars have radar, they just go of their speedo.
How the hell can they pick 1km over the limit from their speedo while following.
They would need to be touching your bumper to read your exact speed
