They're a lead tipped arrow.

Even heavily modified with hi-po 6cyl were under-braked,shite traction & bad understeer if too fast into a corner...stockers were boring as hell though.

That said they look porn & hell of a lot of fun in a car that wants to kill you haha

I had a 4 door LJ stroked 308, side mount vortex,VN heads ,Toploaderand with a tubbed 4.11 9 inch rear.
Taught me how to skid had so much fun in that thing, but sold it when daylight started coming at the bottom of the front doors! To be 19 again with not care in the world but how long will these tyres last me!!

I actually got bored of mine first year of v8 conversion untill it got mini-tubbed & better rear end set up.

It was like driving on wet grass it would spin tyres way too easily made gtr feel slow...you could feather the throttle drive it sideways for 100mtrs without a sweat.

I heard dumping clutch 4th gear at 60-70m/hr was fun....that's what me mate's uncle's cousin next door neighbour said o_O

My mates uncle's cousin's next door neighbour told me to about 3 gear starts with 4x4 mud tyres! I wonder if they were neighbours or at least from the same suburb for sure
I totally agree with the wet grass call, mine was worse as it was single pegger before I welded it, just reminded me of growing up on 100 acres with a 900m gravel track driveway.
I still put the Harley through the paddock standing over the bars twisting the throttle just easier then riding it slow and getting top heavy

When did v8 conversion still had 3.9bango in it from wild 6cyl setup....wondered if stock tailshaft fit with 304/getrag/bango setup.

It did!!!! So there I was doing test drives 2am in morning no bonnet,just downpipes off the modded hsv headers....gtr covered in dust with stockies on the back.

Yep got caught filling it up at Shell Servo...they not only heard efi 304 smacking limiter but followed 11's all the way to servo...had bit of a chinwag about the gtr & told better go home give her a wash haha.

Could get away with a lot back then if spoken to in civil manner.
