everytime i turn my ignition on my aerial auto goes up..
is that why u put this switch in? to stop that from happening?

Yes, when the switch is "ON" it will allow the antenna to go up and down automatically when the stereo is on, when the swtich is "OFF" the antenna will retract and stay down untill you switch it back on.

This may sound odd but mines constantly down... does this make a difference to this mod?

I'm sick of my aerial always being up. (I got a pioneer H/U). What is the easiest way to disconnect it so I can reconnect it again one day if I want to?

Do I have to pull the pioneer head unit out? How do I do that?

all you'd have to do is disconnect the aerial remote wire from the back of your head unit and that'll stop it staying up. just put a switch in like it says at the top (very easy) and then you're done.

Yeah, but it doesn't look like i can get my headunit out because I don't have the tools to remove it

Have you got the removable pocket under your head unit? just tear that out, drill a whole in the back of it, poke the aerial cable through and whack a switch on it.
