I have just replaced the original stereo in my 02 VYSS with a Pioneer unit (4350 model I think). Everything works great apart from the fact the unit will not save any changes I make to the default settings (radio stations, equalizer setting, colour display, clock etc). Once the ignition is turned off and the door is opened the radio powers off as normal but the next time the stereo is powered up all the stereo settings are back to default. I have checked all the wiring connections and they appear fine. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks I will give that a go. Just for interest sake what does this do? I have the universal adapter plug connected to the car with the wires correctly soldered to the plug that came with the stereo unit. I have yellow to yellow and red to red at the minute as per the wiring diagram.

Yellow supplies all the juice and constant power to remember settings.
Red tells the headunit when to turn on and off so that your battery doesn't go flat.
