Hello im a new member to this forum, and im realy interested in the VE SV6, i would like some help with a few questions. Keep in mind im most likely going to buy it second hand (private seller).

    1. Can they be lowered? advantages and disadvantages

    2. Can i put a head unit in the car (dvd player slides out) without having to customise the dash board?

    3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of a VE compared to other commodore?

Sorry people for the hassle however i would appreciate it, thankyou

    advantages of a ve?

pretty much every commodore before the ve is a bucket when compared!

it has the most refined chassis, most refined engines. best safety features. of any previous commodore.

    it will have better resale.

    2013 MY12.5 SV6Z + 2016 MY16 SV6, both manuals
    New v Used?

    Hi,

I have just bought a new MY09 VE SV6 metallic paint manual, at a really big saving just before Christmas - $30,766 drive away after GM Card discount. Drove it to the Sunshine Coast for a holiday, and now have around 3,400km.

Other than a little discontent with the instrument cluster and trip computer controls versus my previous VYII, I am totally happy. I agree with the comment that the chassis is much better sorted out than previous Commodores.

Are you buying an auto or manual?

Based on a conversation the afternoon with the dealer selling my old car, he told me another dealer had just paid $26K at auction for a 2006 SV6 manual, "because he needed it on his lot". That would be very poor value against the price that I paid.

    Good luck with your purchase.
