plastic guard

    Has anyone had this problem of this guard hanging down?

    try screwing it back up or taking it off might help :whistling

    Replace the 2 plastic screws and re-attach it. The screws are available from Holden. The plastic thing is important as it creates a low pressure area and helps to suck air thru the radiator.

    Both good ideas. I guess they have a reason so it would be better to get some screws or even zip ties maybe to hold it in place.

    it's a stone guard, although i'd trust what reaper has said, not much to guard stones from aye :p

    The screws can be bought cheaper from Autobahn I believe

    LOL, i pulled mine off 5 years ago cos it got in the way of the bottom hose, its still sitting in the shed. The fan shroud is pretty good on its own.
    Are you guys saying i should put it back on ?

    If your car hasn't overheated in 5 years then I'd say you are pretty safe. Overall I think their impact is minimal but can be important if the rest of your cooling system is borderline.
