Hi all, I have posted this question on a different thread, because I really need an answer. this problem is a real pain and is becoming dangerous!

Here it is: Vs V6 dual fuel. 241+Kms. No probs on petrol. when running on gas, when the car has reached operating temp it keeps stalling when you slow down. unless you pull up to a smooooth stop.....it all over. first it was only when you brake fairly hard, but now thats not the case. its getting worse and worse and is happing more often. missus wont even drive the thing anymore!

took it to the gas man, first look he could'nt find anything wrong. needs to go back again to check all electrics.
please help!

has it been on gas all its life? i heard gas nearly halves the life of an engine compared to running on petrol. and that was a mate who is a qualified gas installer and a couple of other people?

the engines fine, runs like a dream on both petrol and gas. its only when you slow down on gas, thats when the problem shows itself

surely some one knows of a solution.....searching the forum it seems to have happened to people before, but no one knows how to fix it.
I'm getting slightly desperate here!

It could be the actual converter not working properly on low rpms, the seatings could be buggered also. The best thing you have to do is take it to another specialised gas mechanic or the person who supplies the gas system, you need someone to look at it and diagnose the problem that would be better than asking of this forum. The problem with gas cars is if there is an untreated problem it can become worse if not looked after properly. The last thing u want is the seatings to go and the head.

That's a new one. Gas is harder on valve seats but otherwise, much better for the engine than petrol.

I'd say get the gas mixture adjusted before going to much further.

PLugs, leads and air filter in good nick?
