Yes it has everything to do with your issue.

That is the A/C high side presure sensor connector. It needs to be plugged into the high side pressure sensor. The A/C high side pressure sensor is right down near the A/C compressor on the RHS of the engine. It will be a plug that comes off the pipe from the compressor. Pic att.

B.T.W (..if this is your harness in the pic).....your plug connector clip on your harness looks broken and it's missing the terminal retaining clip off the end of it. Probably lost when being unplugged. Happens all the time. This is probably why you are having problems.

I'd be also checking the sensor terminal pins too, could be munted by someone tryin to force the plug back on the sensor.

If it does fit ok, and the locking clip is broken off,
Most likely due to the heat and made it brittle,
For a quick fix, plug it in see if you can secure it with a wire tie or 2,

Otherwise, source a replacement plug,
If not, see if you can hold of a second-hand loom, and cut the old plug off, and splice the replacement plug on to t he existing cables,
Keeping in mind to remember to re-connect them to correct colour coded wires.

DO NOT Remove the Sensor on the bundy piping manifold.
