Hey everyone I cleaned the plenum and TB on my VS V6 today, was relatively easy, didn't go in to deep in the guts of the motor, just what i could see, I also found that cleaning the TB is fairly easy to do through the plenum (didn't have to remove tricky throttle cable lol).

Added a few before and after pics for everyone to see.

after the whole clean i noticed it runs a bit less revs, used to be just under 2000 at 90km/h now its just over 1500 mark, so yeah just a drop in revs...if i cleaned down the intake pipes that go to the injectors or where ever i'm sure it would be even better. seems maybe a little bit smoother.

yeah definitely for the hour or so it took, and yeah now that i have asked someone i found out that the intake manifold should be easy to pull off so i can clean in the holes aswell.

true...after another inspection i found that there is a fair amount of stuff to remove to get the manifold off...so i might leave it. how did you get the throttle cable off, ive been to soft to attempt to really force the little clip off. and not removing the TB means i dont have to chance busting a gasket aswell.

the acc. cable just pops off.its like a ball socket.i use a screwdriver to gently pop it off.it requires i little force. i think the other cable is cruise control that just slides off with a little force, both pretty easy to remove
