hey guys n gurls...was wondering if one was so inclined to listen in on police frequencies..what frequency/ channel would he tune into on UHF..this is in Qld...im not sure whether they have gone digital like vic have..

you cant pick it up on a normal uhf mate...

also highly illegal :p

Yep, wont pick it up on a normal UHF radio, will need a radio scanner within the right frequency range.
Vic isnt digital either, well atleast not in rural areas.

But I dont think anyone will post up the frequency for you mate, doesnt look good for the forum, and it is illegal to have a scanner programmed to it from what I've told.

get a bearcat scanner and scan 75000-80000 and 150000-200000 youll find it

dont know about over there but its fully legal to listen here as long as you dont use it for criminal gains or to help anyone avoid arrest etc

Not sure about other states but nothing illegal about it here (vic).
Seems to be a common misconception though.

Its completely legal. Though vic HAS gone digital, quite a while back. I bought a scanner a few years ago then a month later they went digital. Waste of $300 lol. I live in the sticks too btw so defiantly no go without a digital scanner. My uncle warned me it would happen but me being ignorant I bought one anyway :p. (hes right into this stuff and has a HUGE HF aerial on his shed supported by numerous cables :p)

portable phones are better to listen too anyway LOL

yeah easy as to find the phone just scanning portable frequencies you need 2 the trans and recieve normally not very far apart and you just scan the two
