Ive polished the inside of the inlet manifold on my ecotec,it seemed to make it run noticably smoother.I also matched the runners to the inlet ports and plenum so there was no interference to the airflow from them overlapping eachother where they join. Its also worth checking the gaskets to make sure the port holes in them arent smaller than the inlet runner holes, and that they line up properly with no overlap.
