Poor Radio Reception VE SV6 SII

I have just upgraded from a VE SV6 S1 to a VE SV6 S2.
I've found that the radio reception is very poor and scratchy in the new S2. Series 1 picked up all the radio stations in my area fine,
the Series 2 most stations are very scratchy reception except for 1 or 2 which are very close stations (within 5 - 10km away). Anyone else had problems with radio reception and what can I do to fix it?
I tried taking the antenna from my series 1 and swapping them over but made little difference.

Windows have darkest legal tint, but so did my Series 1 which didn't have reception issues.

Why would window tint affect it? They have the bee sting aerial on the roof..

If its an IQ, it has a very 'el cheapo' tuner module in it..........

Ive actually had really good reception from my VE with IQ... As in over 100km from the broadcast tower and being able to still hear the station clearly..

Maybe it's not the aerial end but wiring on the IQ end? Not a car guy but maybe an idea.

ive got the series II IQ unit mate i live in brisy and can get Rebel FM down at the gold coast (50-80Kms) and its pretty clear quality

I did see somthing on here with a way to try and fix the problem as i also have a s11 z-series and foolishly thought it was my area,but now know different ,tripple m seem's worse than any other anyone know the fix? as i read a thread about how to have a go but can't find it???????

I have tried that and it didn't really make any difference, which setting I had it on.
