Police say the three men were racing along a 100km/h zone of the Pacific Highway on the far north NSW coast. Officers stopped on the highway at Tyagarah, north of Byron Bay, allegedly observed the motorcycles overtake the Porsche in a road race. The danger heightened when they overtook three other vehicles and reached a top speed of 224km/h before being pulled over. The 31-year-old driver of the Porsche and the two motorcycle riders, aged 25 and 28, were charged them with dangerous driving, street racing, and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h. They are scheduled to appear in Byron Bay Court on January 23. All three men had their licences suspended and their vehicles confiscated. Go News Go
its one thing to speed, but its another to get in a cop chase and try to get away. I'd say they all pulled over when the cops put the lights on ... much less trouble that way
I actually saw them pulled over as i drove past - roughly 6 motorbike cops, 1 red xr6t highway car and a VE behind it. Must have been one hell of a chase by the number cops eh?
my thoughts exactly! You should have seen everyone speed up after seeing the big cop corroboree - sif everyone thought HEY THE COPS ARE ALL THERE LETS GO! I on the other hand was left for dead... Green P 100km/h law...
credit to the driver of porsche for still racing even though he knew he was gunna get munched. fail to the two bikers for actually pulling over.
