i love the way they showed the features of the car with the cgi especially the forced induction:yeah:
390kW and 680Nm out of a forced induction 3.6 litre really goes to show how underpowered the 6.2 and 7 litre lumps that come from GM are. Nobody builds cars or gets the power out of engines like the Germans. And thinking about that Australia 1 Germany 0 HSV billboard still makes me want to spew!!
What???porsche looks like sex on wheels imagine stomping that thing off the line:yeah: and yeah while the Porsche is a better built car than any hsv, hsv are still awesome cars and have come a long way since their humble beginings!!! imo the problem with hsv is that in certain ways, they have gotten away from their roots!! i mean take the clubsport for example, the clubsport was originaly bought out as a family mans sports car hence the name "clubsport"! but how many family men would be able to buy a new clubby these days:whistling: The thing of it is, that when the cluby got some good rep from the locals and started to get performance figures to match cars like BMW then hsv set its benchmark higher again to try and outperform/outclass other exotics of the same price range! but see the thing of it is, that the clubby still will only ever be a family mans sports car (even if it is out of the family mans $$$ reach) and imo thats why alot of hsv,s dont appeal to the europeans! e.g most euro,s when picking a sports car want something exotic,exclusive & powerfull! not something thats got a v8 but looks like an everyday run of the mill commodore with a kit! i think if hsv really want to take on the likes of porsche and other exotics then they need to do the work and research then design a new exclusive shell and build a weapon that dosent look like every other commodore with a kit
Would much prefer an M3/M5 or an Aston DB9, perhaps even a new GT 500 Shelby. Porsche to me are just ugly cars.
Haha, you have no taste, nothing sexier than a porche. The sound of the engine the way it handles. Will never forget my first ride in a 911, it hugged the road like nothing else. I saw a GT2 in the city a year ago, all tuned up it sounded supreme. Porche have an infinite quest for perfection. I watched a doco on the 911 and the engineer explained how they change position of the engine over the back axle a little bit every time to find the best position for handling. Beside a porche a HSV looks like a $2 hooker. BTW I don't consider a boxter or the 4wd a real porche. These are for ladies with style
When did i compare a HSV to a porsche, i simply said i do not like them. Oh wait, thats because i own a HSV so you take a stab. I'd much prefer my car than something like you own, if a HSV looks like a $2 hooker beside a porsche i presume you have the hooker pay you when a VS is beside a porsche?. As i said, there are many other cars in Porsche price ranges that i would much prefer. Why cant people just ****ing deal with it rather than compare apples and oranges? Edit: Just to add, you would hope a near 400k(AU) car would be better than a say $70,000 Australian built car. What could you get out of a GTS + 300k spent(Apart from a house with a nice car)?
