Recently replaced the fuel filter after a long trip Cairns to Adelaide, car was running on low revs no worries but struggling under accelaration. After new filter no worries. Has started doing the same thing. Checked fuel filter all good. Any suggestions, could it be the fuel pump that needs replacing?

How did you check the fuel filter?....replacement is the only real way of checking.

I would check to see if the fuel filter is the wrong way round first... Could also be blocked injectors or bad fuel pump. I would try using a tank of 98 octane with injector cleaner and see how that goes after you check the filter.

Pulled the filter out and blew air through it, clean as a whistle. I'll check the coil packs in the morning then injectors after that
